454 is a rapper/producer from Florida, best known for his song "STITCH + LILO". He is characterized by his high-pitch voice, almost video game like beats, and upbeat vibes. It was when I listened to Denzel Curry's album Melt My Eyes See Your Future that I first heard 454. My initial thoughts about him were that his performance great, but I didn't think his voice was amazing on the beat of "Sanjuro", which was the song on Denzel's album. I still thought it was a great song, but I soon forgot about him as an artist.
I was then reintroduced to him somehow when I saw his album FAST TRAX 3 last year, and everything about his aesthetic, voice, and beats made sense to me. It was on replay all winter long for me, especially the songs "TALES FROM THE HOOD", "LOVE ME, HATE ME", and "BERRYPUNCH". This experience made me love him as an artist, and I kept up with all of his releases. Recently, 454 dropped CASTS OF A DREAMER, which I consider to be his best release so far. He is an artist that I am ready to see more from in the future, and who I think will only get better as time goes on.
